Why I do what I do…

One of the things I enjoy most about being a massage therapist is seeing how my services improve and impact the lives and wellness of my clients in a positive way. I had a client this morning who I will call “Jane.” Jane had a rod put in her spine over twenty years ago. She has some unique physical challenges as a result of her surgery. And one of the things I appreciate most about this client is that she recognizes the importance of “checking in” with her therapist during the treatment. So she consistently lets me know how the massage is going. (Communication is KEY in a successful client/therapist association.) I entered the field of massage therapy to help others, and that has been the case with “Jane” along with all of my clients. If you are experiencing chronic pain issues, or if you simply want a therapeutic or relaxation massage, let a massage therapist help you on your journey towards improved health and wellness. It is extremely important to find a therapist who is skilled, and someone you have a comfort level with. I would also be happy to refer you to a different therapist if my location or schedule doesn’t fit in with your needs. I have many capable and qualified friends who are massage therapists, so let me know if you need a referral or recommendation for someone in your area. My strongest piece of advice as you seek a therapist is to find someone who is LICENSED and nationally certified/insured. There is no substitute for that kind of expertise!
